The UNE-EN ISO 5817:2023 standard specifies quality levels for welded joints imperfections in fusion in any type of steel, nickel, titanium and their alloys, excluding electron beam welding.
The quality levels refer to production and good execution, specifically level B which corresponds to the highest requirement for the finished weld.

Brazing is a joining process in which the fusion of the base materials does not occur, which allows the same or dissimilar materials to be welded, avoiding the metallurgical problems associated with fusion welding processes. To do this, a different filler material with a lower melting point than the metals to be joined is used, said union being produced by capillarity.
There are several application techniques, among which we can find:
912 - Flame brazing.
916 - Induction brazing.
918 - Resistance brazing.
921 - Brazing in oven.
This type of union offers great advantages such as:
Economic aspects when welding complex joints or a large number of parts simultaneously.
Adequate distribution of stresses and reduction of deformations.
It allows joining materials with reduced weldability, dissimilar materials with very different physical-chemical characteristics, as well as materials of different thickness or even the joining of metals to non-metals.
This type of welding has a great importance in sectors such as the installation and manufacture of industrial cold systems, often making joints of great importance due, among other aspects, to the high pressures that the installation must withstand. and the danger of the elements it must transport.
Because of this, it is vitally important to control all the parameters involved in making the joint, such as pre- and post-cleaning of the joint, suitability of the filler materials to be used, training and certification of welders, and welding procedures. welding and control of the variables used.
So that your company can offer the best service and ensure the highest quality of its products, CESOL has professionals who can advise you on your welding procedures, certify welders and improve their training, giving them the necessary skills to perform quality welding and be able to solve problems that may arise in the production process.
CESOL offers:
Training in brazing technology adapted to your needs.
Welders Certification according to UNE-EN ISO 13585 standard.
Procedures Certification according to UNE-EN 13134.
Technical assistance to companies.
