Failures Analysis and Peritations

Failure analysis

Basically a failure analysis consists of answering the question "What happened?". CESOL has provided this service since its creation, but it has been in recent years that requests for it have increased the most, having carried out various metallurgical studies and expert reports to determine the most probable cause of failure for specific problems.

In this sense, we can help you by analyzing the causes that may have led to the failure or deterioration of a piece of equipment or component, proposing, when possible, an alternative repair mechanism.

WHAT DOES THE FAILURE ANALYSIS CONSIST OF? Although there may be very high variability, basically a failure analysis consists of the following stages:
  • Investigation. This includes the collection of information regarding the existing problem, taking samples, laboratory tests, etc.
  • Data analysis. Its objective is to obtain the "most probable cause" of the failure.
  • Measures to be adopted. "Recommendations" would be included in this aspect, both to repair the structure and to avoid repetition of the failure, as long as both aspects are achievable.

WHO CAN PERFORM A FAILURE ANALYSIS? This is without a doubt the key point of any analysis:
The human personnel who can carry out the investigation. This depends a lot on the specific case being treated and the magnitude of the failure. To achieve this, at CESOL we have a large human team that brings together experts from various sectors, members of this association who collaborate every day in solving these types of problems. This allows us to affirm that we are capable of finding the right person for almost any type of problem.

Peritations

The need to have an expert opinion carried out by an Independent Entity is crucial to be able to accredit or defend a thesis in a conflict or judgment. CESOL has expert personnel in welding, with experience in carrying out expert reports, having participated in various conflicts and judgments in recent years. We can help you in any conflict or study you need.

ETHICAL CODE: CESOL has established a specific Ethical Code for carrying out expert reports, due to the significance that said expert reports can have both for the parties involved in a conflict and for the rest of society.

WARNING: Any expert opinion is carried out in a completely aseptic manner, based on verified evidence and the state of the art and science, with total independence of the parties, including the contracting party. An expert report may go against the client's interests. The client is free to use or not use this report in a judgment.
